The Opposition National Unity Platform (NUP) president Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine has openly dismissed the opinions of the Member of Parliament for Kimaanya Kabonera Dr Abed Bwanika, urging that they are not in line with the party.
Bobi Wine accuses Bwanika, a member of the NUP of promoting opinions that are divergent from those of the people the party represents.
The disagreement between Bobi Wine and his Member of Parliament emanates from Bwanika’s suggestion that he was ready to meet President Museveni to negotiate the release of NUP supporters and MPs: Muhammad Ssegirinya and Allan Ssewanyana.
In a news interview prior, Bwanika had said that he was ready to meet President Museveni for negotiations on behalf of the party once he obtained permission, insisting that if non...

From time immemorial here in Buganda it was forbidden to find a woman engaged in fishing, as when it comes to catching fish, they wait for them on land and then head them to the markets for sale.
However, nowadays, women have become more involved in fishing than men. At the Mbale landing site in Mukono district is where we met Sharifa Nantongo, one of the women who decided to be actively involved in fishing.
Nantongo said that she started small using hooks to get fish which she hawked to different households...

It struck my mind recently when I learnt that Uganda is going to host Tanzania National team in the African Cup qualifiers and the game will be played in Egypt!
Precisely Uganda will host Tanzania in Egypt, in other words a head of a family hosting his visitors in a someone else's home! What an embarrassment!
The tragedy is that the Tanzanians and other officials who would have had an opportunity to have a tour of our beautiful country, who would sleep in our hotels, eat our food, use our fuel, and generally feel the beauty of our country, will take all that money to Egypt, 4500 kilometers away! But it also means that the Ugandan team, officials & supporters will have to spend money to travel to Egypt much more than would have been spent if the game was played here, Double loss!
