The Opposition National Unity Platform (NUP) president Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine has openly dismissed the opinions of the Member of Parliament for Kimaanya Kabonera Dr Abed Bwanika, urging that they are not in line with the party. Bobi Wine accuses Bwanika, a member of the NUP of promoting opinions that are divergent from those of the people the party represents. In the past, it was a disgrace for a woman to be involved in fishing but this is changing and in Mukono some women have taken the initiative to break this taboo. Although they are doing this amidst significant challenges and the goal of sustaining themselves in their household economy. From time immemorial here in Buganda it was forbidden to find a woman engaged in fishing, as when it comes to catching fish, they wait for them on land and then head them to the markets for sale. However, nowadays, women have become more involved in fishing than men. President Yoweri Museveni has directed an expeditious inquiry into allegations of theft of iron sheets and other relief items, that were meant for the Karamoja region, following increased complaints from the intended beneficiaries and other concerned citizens. Enanga says in line with the above, the Director of Public Prosecution using her Constitutional powers has directed CID to work jointly with SH/ACU to expeditiously conduct a criminal investigation into the matter. It struck my mind recently when I learnt that Uganda is going to host Tanzania National team in the African Cup qualifiers and the game will be played in Egypt! Precisely Uganda will host Tanzania in Egypt, in other words a head of a family hosting his visitors in a someone else's home! What an embarrassment!
