Huawei ICT Academy of Uganda launches Free Online Courses open to everyone in May.

Huawei ICT Academy of Uganda has today launched a new series of free online courses open to anyone interested in building an ICT career with internationally recognized certifications. The courses can be accessed via Huawei’s e-learning portal with no minimum education requirements for successful enrollment. Similar to the existing Huawei ICT Academy curriculum that has been in existence for over 3 years in Uganda at public universities like Makerere University, MUBS, Gulu, Muni, Kyambogo and many others. The new courses are free to all registered learners and come with a certificate of completion at the end of the course. The newly elected Goma division youth Councillor Shanon Mubuuke was found dead in her rented room in Ntinda zone in Goma division Mukono municipality, at 1 am. Residents suspected that the deceased might have slipped in the bathroom and got complications with her seven months pregnancy thus to her demise. Fire has gutted Grace House, a girls dormitory, leaving all students properties worth millions in ashes. The cause of the fire is yet to be known. The government of Rwanda led by African strongman Paul Kagame has passed a law that now requires all pastors in the country to have, at least, a bachelor degree in order to preach, with over 6,315 churches closed. According to reports, as at July 5th 2018, the government of Rwanda proposed the new law which has now been passed and is operational. The new law requires all pastors and preachers in Rwanda to hold a bachelor degree in theology.
