Territorial police in Mityana have registered a case of suspected poisoning at Golden Learning Centre Nursery and Primary School on September 27, 2023. The incident, located in Namungo Central Village, Namungo Parish, Namungo Sub-county, Mityana District, involved pupils experiencing symptoms such as stomach ache, headache, and vomiting immediately after being served Posho and beans for lunch at 1400 hours. The Constitutional court has invalidated a parliamentary resolution that dismissed Mityana Municipality MP Francis Zaake from his position as a parliamentary commissioner. Two students of Midland High School in Kaberamaido district died on the spot and 31 others are nursing critical injuries at Soroti regional referral hospital following a tragic accident involving a bus they were traveling in.
