The United Arab Emirates (UAE) began one of its major space missions in 2023, with the Emirati astronaut Sultan Al Neyadi travelling to the International Space Station (ISS) as part of the six-month mission, titled, “Zayed Ambition 2.” The mission is one of a series of ambitious Emirati missions, which include the launch of MBZ-Sat and the arrival of the Explorer Rashid to the moon. Zayed Ambition 2, a part of the UAE Astronaut Programme, is a crucial addition to the scientific achievements of the UAE’s space sector and will see Al Neyadi conduct 19 research experiments and advanced studies. Female candidates have performed better than boys in last year’s Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) exams, Uganda National Examination Board (UNEB) has revealed. The national examination board has been observing this trend for the last four consecutive years, raising eyebrows and drawing attention to the changing dynamics in education in the country. The Executive Director of UNEB, Daniel Odongo, said that a total of 96, 557 candidates sat for UACE, with 40, 219 of them being female and 56, 023 being male. Insurance Regulatory Authority (IRA) has said it will continue with its awareness drives among members of the public as one of the ways to narrow the awareness gap in insurance acceptance.
