Dickens Agumeneitwe, a suspect in the murder of Makerere University student Jackline Nakabembe, has asked for pardon, saying that he never intended to kill her even after a disagreement between them. Nakabembe was reported missing for more than a month in October until her body was found in a trench in Naguru, a suburb of Kampala. In the aftermath, police tracked one of her mobile phones which was found with one Rasta, a resident of Naguru Go-down. The executive director of Dairy Development Authority (DDA), Dr Micheal Kansiime has passed away. His death was confirmed on Wednesday morning by DDA, through their social media platforms. “We regret to announce the death of our hitherto Executive Director Dr Kansiime who succumbed last night after a long illness. May the Lord grant him Eternal Peace. Pray for the family and staff in this dark hour,” DDA tweeted. It is reported that Kansiime, had for long been battling a kidney disease until he lost the battle on Tuesday night. US-based Ugandan singer Desire Luzinda has addressed the allegations that her daughter Mitchelle Kaddu is dating Jose Chameleone’s son Abba Marcus Mayanja after a picture of the two appeared to show them kissing. Desire, who recently traveled back to Uganda to perform at Levixon’s Mbeera, claimed that Abba, 17, and Michelle, her daughter, 18, are just friends. Security personnel dressed in civilian clothing arrested former presidential candidate Joseph Kabuleta from the National Economic Empowerment Dialogue (NEED) party headquarters in Bugolobi. The arrest came shortly after Kabuleta addressed a press conference where he spoke about the recent attacks on security installations and theft of guns in the country. Umar Kremlev, the International Boxing Association (IBA) President is set to visit Uganda, months after retaining office for his second term. Uganda Boxing Federation (UBF) President, Moses Muhangi who invited Kremlev told URN that it will be a three-day visit from the 30th of November to the 2nd of December. Umar Kremlev was re-elected as President of IBA unopposed during day two of the IBA Extraordinary Congress held in Turkey in May this year.
