Entebbe International Airport has experienced a notable increase in passenger traffic, according to the Uganda Civil Aviation Authority (UCAA). In April 2023, the airport welcomed a total of 127,283 passengers, averaging around 4,242 passengers per day. This figure represents a growth compared to April 2022, which saw 122,341 passengers, averaging around 4,078 passengers per day. Vianney M. Luggya, the UCAA Spokesman, provided additional insights into the airport’s performance. He revealed that there were 62,413 arrivals and 64,870 departures at Entebbe International Airport during April 2023. MTN Uganda has handed over a new fully equipped three-classroom block at Frontiers PEAS High School in Isingiro District to boost the students' learning environment. The project worth Shs202 million was funded by MTN Foundation, and implemented through Promoting Equality in African Schools (PEAS), a non-government organisation dedicated to improving access to quality education across the country.
