The Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) is set to introduce body cameras as a tool to help hold its law enforcement officers accountable and more transparent in their work. The cameras will enable the officers to record footage when they have interactions, such as arrests, with members of the public. The equipment will also enable the KCCA legal department to collect evidence during investigations or better defend their actions during a particular encounter. Dorothy Kisaka, the KCCA executive director said this initiative will help rebuild trust with the communities and reduce citizen complaints. President Museveni appoints new  Uganda Airlines CEO.

President Yoweri Museveni ordered the appointment of Jennifer Bamuturaki as the substantive chief executive officer of Uganda Airlines. In a letter dated April 24, 2022, Museveni made the directive on her appointment to Gen Katumba Wamala, the minister of Works and Transport. Katumba then wrote to Priscilla Mirembe Serukka, the chairperson of the board of directors of the airline to implement the presidential directive. Katumba authored the letter on July 5. Three people including a patient, nurse and the attendant have on Wednesday 11, succumbed to burnt injuries after an ambulance they were travelling in caught fire along the Kasese-Fort Portal road According to the Ministry of Health, the incident happened when emergency care teams were transferring a patient from Bwera Government Hospital to Fort Portal Regional Referral Hospital and the ambulance registration number UG 291M in which they were caught fire while in transit at Kibiito in Bunyangabu district. “Our Fort Portal emergency response team reported that five people were on board at the time of the fire that started in the patient cabin. The three people who were in patient’s cabin including an emergency nurse, the attendant and patient died in the fire,” the Health Ministry said....

On Tuesday, 17 November 2015, the Uganda government signed an agreement with Export-Import Bank of China (Exim Bank) to borrow $207 million at two per cent upon disbursement.
