UPDF Officer Arrested For Supplying Government Stores To Robbers

Arthur Nuwagaba, a warrant officer II attached to the finance office in the Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence-CMI, Mbuya in Kampala was arrested on Thursday. His detention stemmed from the arrest of his accomplices in intelligence-led operations in Kidokoro zone, Kawempe Ttula, Kawempe division last week following reports of robbery and impersonation by the suspects. Two of the suspects are Ashraf Agaba and one Ahabwe. Their colleague identified as Junior Shadrach alias Vincent Atwine who has been posing as Assistant Superintendent of Police is still at large. The Minister of state in the vice president's office has halted the planned eviction of more than 10,000 residents on a contested piece of land in six villages in Nyenga Division, Buikwe District, The land in question belongs to Nambi Sarah and the late Kinaalwa who was acting as the caretaker, measuring 1000 acres. The said Nambi Sarah, hired city Lawyer Kenneth Paul Kakande and real estate dealer Natasha Namubiru to process for her the land title in the exchange of 70 acres for the work done.
