Onyango resigns from national team

FEATURED, Latest News, NEWS, SPORTS
I sit here with tears rolling down my eyes because after a lengthy consideration I have come to the decision of retiring from international football with immediate effect. It is a sad day in my life knowing that I will never wear the jersey of my beloved Cranes in front of passionate fans again. I will now become the number one supporter who wears the jersey watching from the stands or from home. It is through the Ugandan national team that I have grown from a boy into the man and father that I am now.For all the success that I have enjoyed in my career I owe so much of it to the national team. It was because of my national team that I got to play against all the best players from across the continent who play in top leagues all over the world. I played at the AFCON finals because ...

Chelsea’s Frank Lampard Sacked.

FEATURED, NEWS, SPORTS
FRANK LAMPARD was summoned to a breakfast time sacking - after Roman Abramovich decided the former Blues midfielder’s reign could not be rescued. Abramovich made the final call to sack Lampard - who will be replaced by German Thomas Tuchel - after seeing no real signs of improvement in the FA Cup win over Luton. African free trade area launched after delays owing to Global Coronavirus Pandemic.

FEATURED, NEWS, SPORTS
African countries began officially trading under a new continent-wide free trade area on Friday, after months of delays caused by the global coronavirus pandemic. But experts view the New Year's Day launch as largely symbolic with full implementation of the deal expected to take years. The African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) aims to bring together 1.3 billion people in a $3.4 trillion economic bloc that will be the largest free trade area since the establishment of the World Trade Organization. Backers say it will boost trade among African neighbours while allowing the continent to develop its own value chains. The World Bank estimates it could lift tens of millions out of poverty by 2035. But obstacles - ranging from ubiquitous red tape and po...
