Police in Soroti are hunting for a traditional healer identified as Opolot Simon, who was hired from Kapelebyong district, to perform rituals that could help in the recovery of a bull that had been stolen from Emoru Joseph, a 60-year-old peasant of Agaya village, Agirigiroi parish in Soroti district. According to the police, during the ritual performance, the two biological sons of the complainant were affected, became unconscious, and died at the scene. The police say that the traditional healer duped the relatives, saying he was going to look for a herb, that would help the two victims, Etonu Michael and Okello Levis, aged 30 and 40, respectively, to regain consciousness. The singer on Sunday joined Bugingo’s followers at Canan Land while they were celebrating the House of Prayers Ministries International (HPMI) Church’s 12-year anniversary. Last year, Pastor Aloysius Bugingo kicked off a fundraising campaign to raise $20 million (about Shs74 billion) to build a state-of-the-art church for his House of Prayer Ministries International (HPMI). Kira Court Chief Magistrate Roseline Nsenge has sentenced Kafta Queen to three years in prison over the aggregated torture of her 15-year-old friend (Pretty Nicole) and inflicting grievous bodily harm. Earlier this year, Queen Kafta appeared in a viral video beating up Pretty Nicole with her friends over a man. Before the ruling, Kafta broke down in court and asked the magistrate not to give her a harsh punishment.
