NCHE Approves Seven Courses at St. Francis School of Health Sciences

The National Council for Higher Education (NCHE) has approved approved 7 courses at St. Francis School of Health Sciences in Namataba, Mukono district. The courses include Diploma in Biomedical Engineering, Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology, Diploma in Pharmacy, Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Community Health, Diploma in Midwifery, Diploma in Nursing Direct, Diploma in Nursing Extension and Diploma in midwifery extension. In a letter written by the Deputy Executive Director NCHE, Rev. Canon. Dr. Alex M. President Yoweri Appoints New Public Service Commission Bosses.

Museveni has exercised his constitutional powers by naming a new team to head the Public Service Commission. In a letter to the Speaker of Parliament, Museveni has by virtue of powers given to him as president under Article 165(2) of the Constitution appointed a team of nine members to head the Public Service Commission. The team comprises Winnie Agnes Kabogoza Musoke as the chairperson to replace Justice Raphael Ochan who served in the position since 2014 as well as Francis Oryang Lagony as the deputy chairperson to replace former Presidential Principle Private Secretary Dr. Hilda Musubira who died in April. A section of the National Unity Platform (NUP), led by Moses Kibalama will soon be opening its offices in Rubaga division. Paul Ssimbwa who claimed to be the faction’s secretary-general said the delegates sat and everything was resolved according to the party constitution. “I want you to get this thing right and clearly. Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine has asked God to rescue Ugandans from enemies he claims have mistreated them for a long time, in his new song entitled “Tujune”. Tujune, translated as ‘’help us” was produced by Sir Dan Magic and video shot by JahLive. Released on Sunday, the song has already enjoyed massive airplay and viewership and has so far garnered 109,000 views on YouTube. This transition will tell us whether M7 is a good leader or not. There is only one peaceful way to a transition. The government should engage all opposition parties in talks and negotiations.
