By Our Reporter The Uganda Police have refuted allegations that the National Resistance Movement (NRM) chairman who died on Tuesday as a result of gunshot wounds was shot by the army. Eric Kyeyune, who was a boda-boda rider and NRM chairman for Kitubulu, died after the army and police shot bullets amongst protesters in Entebbe municipality, who were protesting against resulst announced by the Electoral Commission which indicated that Fabrice Rulinda, an independent candidate, had trounced  Democratic Party candidate Vincent Kayanja DePaul. By Our Reporter Kyadondo East Member of Parliament Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine, who is a 2021 presidential contender on the National Unity Platform (NUP), has said that the police stole his presidential nomination forms and money worth Shs23M when they raided the NUP offices in Kamwokya on Wednesday. A statement released by the Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson SP Patrick Onyango indicates that several motorists were arrested after they were found driving beyond the recommended curfew time, which ends at 9:00Pm. Eric John Wabwire, who was until his arrest the Mitiyana Police Station Deputy CID officer, was on Friday charged with theft of Shs3M from a dead man, and remanded to Mityana prison. Prosecution alleges that Wabwire allegedly stole Shs3m from  Yasin Mugisha, who died a few days ago.
