Fellow Countrymen, Countrywomen and Foreign Residents in Uganda, I have come back, the third time, to talk to you about the Ebola outbreak that we have in the districts of Mubende, Kyegegwa, Kassanda, Kagadi and Bunyangabu. We now have 58 total confirmed cases and 19 deaths. So far, 20 people have recovered from Ebola. Last time, I spoke to you about some people that were difficult, lying to us, hijacking dead bodies and moving from district to district including coming to Kampala City. Namilyango College Celebrates Gold Trophies Won in FEASSA in Tanzania. Namilyango college students who are the champions of Rugby and lawn tennis in the Federation of East African Secondary Schools sports association FEASSSA, today presented their two gold trophies to the school authorities at the school campus. Namilyango is one of 35 schools from Uganda that participated in Arusha, Tanzania and finished in the finals in rugby and lawn tennis, Namilyango College won over Kenya’s Elerai (27-03), Kings College Buddo (24-03) and 14-00 against Makerere College to take gold in Rugby 15s at the 2022 FEASSSA Games. Uganda National Examinations Board, (UNEB) informs the public that National Examinations in Mubende and Kassanda districts will go on as originally planned, starting tomorrow , Monday October 17th, 2022. This follows consultations with both the Ministries of Health & Education, as well as the Security. Contracted professionals involved in the conduct of examinations in the two districts are advised to move up to Mityana Police Station for further instructions, or to contact their Area Supervisors for guidance. Those travelling should use transit vehicles through Mubende to Fortpotal or through Mubende to Kibaale. Computers stolen, Buikwe Senior Four ICT Students Stranded.

Just hours before the final exams for the candidates, schools in the district of Buikwe are in trouble because of parents’ failure to finish their school fees. In the same district students at Suggu seed secondary school in Buikwe town council are on the verge of not sitting their final ICT exams because of stolen computers from the ICT laboratory. A few weeks ago unknown people broke into the school’s computer laboratory and made away with over 50 computers living monitors and keys behind, causing suspense to the school administration and leaders. The incident prompted the Buikwe south legislator Dr. Lulume Bayiga to task the school administration to explain the whereabouts of the computers.
