FINALLY President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has signed the controversial Computer Misuse (Amendment) Bill into law. According to the PPU, Museveni signed four bills into law: the Physical Planners’ Registration Act; the Kampala Capital City (Amendment) Act, the Mining and Minerals Act, and the Computer Misuse (Amendment) Bill. In July this year, Kampala Central MP Muhammed Nsereko proposed an amendment to the 2011 Act, arguing that the Act doesn’t take into consideration sharing information across social media. Last month, Parliament passed the Computer Misuse (Amendment) Bill 2022. Kyagulanyi urges gov’t to rescue Ugandans stranded in UAE.

The leader of the National Unity platform (NUP) Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine has challenged the government to ensure it brings home hundreds of Ugandans that are stuck in the United Arab Emirates(UAE). This follows the UAE’s cancellation of a fundraiser organised by Kyagulanyi last week aimed at raising money for the stranded Ugandans. Kyagulanyi accused government of not doing enough to return hundreds of stuck Ugandans seeking to return home. “The government of Mr Museveni is paying a deaf ear and a blind eye to our brothers and sisters abroad”,Kyagulanyi said. Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba has finally apologised to Kenyan President William Ruto over his recent remarks relating to capturing Nairobi in two weeks. “I have never had any problem with Afande Ruto. If I made a mistake anywhere, I ask him to forgive me as his young brother. God bless East Africa,” Gen Muhoozi tweeted on Thursday evening. Gen Muhoozi was last week on the receiving end of criticism by members of the public both Ugandans and Kenyans over his series of controversial tweets that left many with tongues wagging. “It would take us, my army and me two weeks to capture Nairobi.
