The thoughts of one Moroccan schoolteacher immediately turned to her pupils when she felt the 6.8-magnitude earthquake strike a week ago. Nesreen Abu ElFadel was in Marrakesh – but Adaseel, the mountain village that was home to her school and pupils, was closer to the epicentre. Unfortunate news reaching our desk reveals singer and actress Evelyn Nakabira alias Evelyn Lagu a.k.a Evelyn Love has breathed her last after years of battling kidney and heart complications. The singer was pronounced dead early on the morning of Monday 18th September 2023 and the devastating news was confirmed by her son and via her social media accounts. Evelyne Love was in the past few years flown to Turkey to conduct a kidney transplant, however, medical experts stopped her from the procedure reasoning that her health status was not suitable for it.
