The embattled politician, who is facing charges of aggravated trafficking joins 127 other candidates at Kisoro Demonstration Primary School, located in Kisoro Municipality. Parliament has approved a request to borrow US$ 464.13 million (about Shs1.7 trillion) from Standard Chartered Bank and other financial institutions to finance the development and infrastructure budgets for the fiscal year 2022/23. The Speaker of Parliament, Anita Among, said that the loan for budget support was in fulfillment of a portion of what the MPs approved for the current financial year.
