She was a pilot and theologian. First female pilot in Ghana as well as a sub-Saharan African. She was chosen among the first women enlisted into the Ghana Air Force as pilots - 1963. On 22nd June 1964, she flew a solo for the first time in a de Havilland Canada DHC-1 Chipmunk aircraft, becoming the first Ghanaian to fly an airplane solo. In October 1964, she became the only student pilot allowed some 10 minutes of solo flying time during the Air Force Day organized in Takoradi, where she ended with a spotless landing to the admiration of many including Dr. Kwame Nkrumah. The Kabaka of Buganda, Ronald Muwenda Mutebi, has been sued in court by city businessman Hamis Kiggundu for a 140-acre plot of land in Kigo, Wakiso district. Through his lawyers Muwema and Company Advocates, Ham is challenging the decision and procedure that resulted in the cancellation of the land titles. In his civil appeal filed at High court on November 2, 2022, Ham claims that the Commissioner of Land Registration violated the principles of impartiality and natural justice by using “double standards” and making decisions that favored the Kabaka. Former Jinja Resident District Commissioner (RDC), Eric Sakwa, who was acquitted of manslaughter charges last month has been re-appointed as the Kaliro RDC. In a mini reshuffle announced by the Minister for the Presidency, Milly Babalanda, former Mbale Resident City Commissioner (RCC) Ahmed Washaki was transferred to Kumi as the RDC and replaced by Kumi RDC, Hussein Kato. Former Kampala RCC Hudu Hussein, who has been in Yumbe as RDC, has been transferred to Lwengo as RDC.
