Government Resurrects Bukalasa Agricultural College, with a 9billion multi purpose structure.

Over the years Uganda's oldest Agriculture College at Bukalasa in Luwero District has been facing challenges of insufficient classrooms and insufficient mechanized equipment for use in teaching modern agriculture. This prompted the government of Uganda in 2020 to launch plans to rehabilitate the College, with the support from the world Bank. Now the government of Uganda through its ministry of education and sports has officially received Bukalasa multipurpose building facility from contractor VAMBECO Enterprise, the facility is under the Uganda Skills Development Project. Senior one student commits Suicide over school fees.

Miriam Anyango, senior one student of Aputi Secondary School in Amolatar district, northern Uganda has committed suicide following a misunderstanding with her father over grazing animals and school fees. Anyango’s body was found hanging on a mango tree on Monday 9, after disappearing from home on Sunday evening. The deceased has been living with her father Sam Orech Apollo 56, and stepmother Doreen Amongi since her biological mother left the home. According to family sources, the Orech, who is also the LC II chairperson of Anywali parish, Aputi sub-county physically assaulted the girl for allegedly failing to take good care of the animals she was herding. The Archdiocese of Kampala has dismissed social media rumors making rounds abouth the death of Cardinal Emmanuel Wamala. According to media reports, Pius Male Ssentumbwe, the Chancellor of Kampala Archdiocese said that the Cardinal, who retired as Archbishop of Kampala in 2006, was well and at home. The Cardinal, who celebrated his 95th birthday in December last year, is living in Nsambya in his retirement home. “The Cardinal is well and alive,” Fr. Male said. “The public is requested to always seek official information from Church channels,” he said.
