“Prof Mbonye Forgave MoH Tormentors before Dying” Lucy Nakyobe Mbonye

The Cabinet Secretary and Head of Public Service Lucy Nakyobe Mbonye has disclosed that her husband forgave his tormentors at the Ministry of Health where he served as Director of Medical Services. Nakyobe told mourners at Professor Anthony Mbonye’s vigil that she blames the infighting at the Health Ministry as the trigger that started off the illness that has finally killed her husband. Nevertheless, the late Prof Anthony Kabanza Mbonye did most of his literary work during his four years battle with cancer according to family and friends. Two years ago, he wrote a tell-it-all book about the fights in the ministry but abruptly withdrew it from circulation before many copies had been sold. Uganda to sign final oil deal with Total E&P and CNOOC on Sunday

Uganda will close the long-awaited Final Investment Decision (FID) with international oil companies Total E&P and CNOOC on Sunday.The decision will unlock billions of dollars of investment in Uganda’s oil and gas sector. Total chief executive Patrick Pouyanné, is expected in the country over the weekend, according to officials from Uganda’s energy ministry. Ugandan army kills 189 Al Shabab fighters in Somalia

Dwarf Giraffes Found In Murchison Falls For The First Time

While conducting a photographic survey of the giraffe population in Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda, a group of researchers spotted something unusual. One of the wild giraffes looked a little different from the others, with notably shorter legs despite having what appeared to be a sub-adult body size.
