Church Of Uganda Reverend Murders Wife, Burns Body After Accusing Her Of Cheating

By Keefa Nuwahereza The police in Luwero District have arrested a reverend of the Church of Uganda over allegations of murdering his wife and setting the body ablaze, after he accused her of allegedly cheating on him with another man. The Reverend, only identified as Ssekibaala, a resident of Kavule village, a cleric at St. Mark’s Church, Luwero Town council, was arrested by police after he killed his wife identified as Deborah Sekibaala,  who was a head teacher at Kikamulo Church of Uganda Primary in Nakaseke District, and later set her body ablaze, following a heated fight that ensued between them on the night of Sunday November 8th, 2020. The Mukono Municipality Member of Parliament Hon. Betty Nambooze Bakireke came out openly and attacked the church and the Bishop of Mukono dioceses accusing him of conniving with her opponent the Municipality mayor George Fred Kagimu to take over Bishops schools with an intention of steeling the schools land. While at the Nup offices in Mukono Nambooze blamed Kagimu of accepting to be used by the Bishop who is just 2 years to retire to take over the government schools which had existed for years. By Elite News Reporter The  General Court Martial has charged four Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) soldiers with the murder of Benon Nsimenta, a lay reader who was shot dead in the wee hours of June 24 at Hima, in Kasese District.
