President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has renewed Pius Bigirimana’s tenure as the Permanent Secretary to the Judiciary by extending his Kisanja for three more years, which means it will expire in the first quarter of the Financial 2023-2024, or when Museveni next does a reshuffle.
Currently, Bigirimana, who was transferred from the Ministry of Gender, Labour and Social Development during the July 2019 cabinet reshuffle, has been serving as Judicial P.S so diligently and effectively that the Appointing Authority did not see reason why not to renew his contract.
Prior to serving at the Ministry of Gender, Bigirimana had working as Permanent Secretary at the Office of the Prime Minister, from where he was transferred following the Geoffrey Kazinda multibillion scandal.
President Museveni appointed Bigirimana as permanent secretary to the Judiciary to replace Kagole Kivumbi, who was sent on forced leave pending investigation of billions of shillings which were allegedly swindled by some officials in the Judiciary.
