The new bishop of Mukono diocese, Enos Kitto Kagoddo, has publicly announced that he has pardoned his brother Moses Kalule Kasujja who worked around the clock to prevent him from being elected Bishop of Mukono diocese. Kitto was speaking at the mass which was organized by his family members and friends at Nangwa village in Mukono, his country home. The prayers were intended to thank God for the son of the soil to have been elected as a Bishop. Police in Kampala have discovered an assortment of human remains in a shrine where a traditional healer is suspected to have killed the human beings in ritual sacrifice. According to the Kampala Metropolitan deputy police spokesperson, Luke Owoyesigyire, the raid to the shrine located in Kazinga, Masajja Kibira B village , Masajja parish in Makindye Ssabagabo followed intelligence information from locals who suspected shady activities in the area. “The territorial Police at Katwe then carried out an intelligence-led operation and recovered suspected human remains, three skulls and a bottle of suspected human or animal blood at the shrine of Jjaja Magombe John, a 50-year-old witch doctor,” Owoyesigyire said. Several people have been arrested in Cameroon over the murder of a prominent journalist Martinez Zongo, the presidency said on Thursday. It did not reveal the identities of the suspected people or their number. A statement said the suspects were being interrogated to determine the level of their involvement and the identities of all the people connected to the murder that happened two weeks ago. For the first time since Mr Zogo’s body was found, President Paul Biya paid a “special tribute” to him and expressed his “heartfelt condolences” to his family. Pakistan’s former president General Pervez Musharraf, who seized power in a coup in 1999, has died aged 79. The former leader – who was president between 2001 and 2008 – died in Dubai after a long illness, a statement from the country’s army said. He had survived numerous assassination attempts, and found himself on the front line of the struggle between militant Islamists and the West. He supported the US “war on terror” after 9/11 despite domestic opposition. In 2008 he suffered defeat in the polls and left the country six months later. Beyoncé has broken the record for the most Grammy Award wins of all time, after collecting her 32nd trophy at this year’s ceremony. The singer made history as she won best dance/electronic album, for her euphoric dance opus Renaissance.
