Two youths were arrested in Ddandira village in Mukono municipality this morning with more than 10 stolen pigs. The robbery took place at Seeta Nazigo in Nakisunga Sub county in the wee hours.
The culprits are Salongo Mulindwa and Waswa Eriyazali Semuwemba; these were found while preparing to slaughter the animals in the local slaughter area belonging to one David Makanga.
David Makanga revealed that he found them in the morning as he reported to his workplace as he became suspicious. He made an alarm as well as calling the local area leaders and they managed to arrest the suspects and three others managed to escape.
Makanga refuted the false allegations propagated against him by some residents that he was part of the group that stole people's animals.

Anthony Agaba, alias Bobi Young, a bodyguard to National Unity Platform (NUP) leader, Robert Kyagulanyi, alias Bobi Wine days has been arraigned before the General Court Martial in Makindye and remanded for allegedly spreading harmful propaganda.
Agaba has been missing for several days after being picked by unknown gunmen along Masaka highway.

Police in Katwe is holding in custody two football fans for stabbing to death a man who attempted to stop their argument following the loss of Arsenal to Manchester City last week.

10,000 youth in 10 higher education institutions will be enrolled in a digital coaching and mentorship programme called Boundless Minds in partnership with Coca-Cola Beverages Uganda (CCBU).
The project will intensively mentor 100 students from different institutions who will be recruited as peer mentors to the broader group of 10,000 students.
It will recruit a total of 60% female students and mentors. During the course of the year, 10 in-person career clinics will be hosted at the universities.

Kampala - Deputy Speaker Thomas Tayebwa has ordered education ministry to present a detailed statement regarding the performance and welfare of students with disabilities.
The Deputy Speaker who chaired the House on Wednesday, said Parliament was concerned about plight of pupils with disabilities— citing poor performance in the recently released 2022 National PLE results.
“Out of the 263 blind pupils who sat 2022 PLE, none of them passed in division one,” Mr Tayebwa said— noting that "this must be a point of concern to all of us because it violates Article 35 of the Constitution.”
