Tottenham to Sign Gareth Bale.

FEATURED, Latest News, SPORTS
Tottenham are hopeful of signing Gareth Bale permanently next summer for as little as £13.5 million, according to reports in Italy. The Wales international rejoined Spurs from Real Madrid on loan this summer after falling out of favour at the Bernabeu following the return of Zinedine Zidane as head coach in March 2019. That deal did not include an option to buy. However, Calciomercato reports Jose Mourinho is keen to strike an agreement to sign Bale, who has made six appearances so far since his return to north London, on a permanent basis. Bale will have one year remaining on his contract when he returns to Real Madrid next summer, and the reported £13.5m fee Tottenham hope to agree is what he would receive in wages for the 2021/22 season. Harry Kane scored his 200th Tottenham Hotspur goal in just his 300th game for the club in their Europa League clash at Ludogorets on Thursday evening. The England captain, who scored his first goal for the club back in 2011 against Shamrock Rovers, had to wait nine years to complete his double century. It came in the same competition as he put the visitors 1-0 up in their Europa League clash in Bulgaria with a well-placed header from a corner. Lucas Moura got on the scoresheet just after the half hour mark to give Spurs a 2-0 lead. Kane becomes the third Spurs player to reach the landmark and is behind only Bobby Smith and Jimmy Greaves in the club’s record scorers list. Kane, 27, is now officially more prolific than Premier League legends Thierry Henry, A...

JOSE MOURINHO refused to blame the introduction of Gareth Bale for Tottenham’s spectacular collapse yesterday as West Ham fought back to claim an extraordinary 3-3 draw. The dramatic encounter was the latest in a series of high-scoring, unpredictable matches in the new Premier League season, with Spurs’ capitulation coming soon after the arrival of Bale in the 72nd minute for his first appearance since returning to his former club from Real Madrid. Spurs were coasting to victory after racing into a 3-0 lead in the first 16 minutes, with a Heung-min Son goal after 45 seconds and a brace from Harry Kane. But the Hammers, with their manager David Moyes back in the dugout, recovered in unlikely fashion with three goals in the last eight minutes, the comeback completed with a stu...

West Ham United have completed the signing of Said Benrahma on a season-long loan from Brentford, the Premier League club announced on Friday. There had been speculation that the Algeria winger had failed a medical but the Hammers said Benrahma would be moving across London until the end of the current campaign after formalising the deal before Friday's transfer window deadline. However, the 25-year-old will not be available for the clash against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday. Said Benrahma became a target after he scored 17 times for Championship club Brentford last season. "I'm very, very happy to be a part of this team," said Benrahma in a West Ham statement. "...

ASENE WENGER MAKES ADMISSION ABOUT TOTTENHAM

FEATURED, NEWS, SPORTS
Former Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has admitted that he never harboured any ‘hostility’ for Tottenham Hotspur. The legendary Frenchman enjoyed many-a-battle against the Gunners’ North London rivals. Having spent 22 years at Arsenal, Wenger got quite familiar with the feeling of coming up against Tottenham. And the 70-year-old has revealed that his will to secure the bragging rights always stemmed from competitiveness, not disdain. He told The Guardian: “Hostility no, competition yes. It was vital that you beat Tottenham for the respect of the club. Competition is important, as long as it’s not crazy. “When you [were due to] play Tottenham, at the start of the week everybody was a bit more nervous than usual.” It seems bizarre now, given that Spurs regularly...
