City businessman Balaam Barugahara, who is the proprietor of Balaam Events, Radio4 FM and several other companies, has thanked Mukono municipality Member of Parliament for referring to his as a Useful Idiot.
Nambooze described Balaam, who is a National Resistance Movement (NRM) mobiliser, as Useful Idiot, because he is allegedly being used by the Party as a conduit for fulfilling ulterior motives.
Ever since Nambooze used the derogatory statement, the hashtag #Useful Idiots has been trending on social media.
However, in reply to Nambooze’s utterances, Balaam has since replied her in a tweet, thanking the Mukono MP for recognising his skill at marketing the NRM party and harnessing more supporters.
He wrote thus; “Dear Hon. Betty Nambooze,
I AM PROUD TO USE MY MARKETING SKILLS TO CONVERT SUPPORTERS FOR MY PARTY
The great Napoleon Bonaparte, once said that never interrupt your enemy when (s)he is making a mistake. Next meeting I will share a one or two tips about political marketing.”
However, Nambooze aka Madam Teachers is yet to reply to Balaam’s request for a meeting and whether or not she will attend the same.
