Armed anti-riot police have Tuesday morning heavily deployed at the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) offices  in Najjanankumbi and barred all party members from accessing the premises, of party president Patrick Amuriat Oboi’s presidential nomination.

News coming indicates that FDC spokesperson Ibrahim Semujju Nganda has also been arrested  and taken to a yet to be identified detention centre, although it is not yet clear what charges he faces.

Sources at the scene have revealed to this website that Semujju’s vehicle, which is branded with campaign slogans for Amuriat, was cut off by police along Entebbe Road and he was stopped from continuing ahead to the FDC offices, although the police didn’t not inform him why.

This all comes on Day Two of presidential candidates for the 2021 election, on which Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine, Patrick Amuriat aka POA and others are set to be nominated by the Electoral Commission, after President Yoweri Museveni and Rtd. Gen. Mugisha Muntu were nominated for the same yesterday.
