By Keefa Nuwahereza

Moses Magogo, the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) president, has succumbed  to the political bug and as you read this, the man from Busoga region is contesting for a Member of Parliament seat come the 2021 Scientific elections.

Our Spies reveal that Magogo, who is a renowned sports fanatic, is contesting for the Budiope East constituency MP seat on the National Resistance Movement (NRM) ticket. Budiope East is found in Buyende District.

We have learnt that Magogo has already kicked off his bid for a political office by printing and sharing posters with eligible voters in his constituency, as he processes his nomination  by  the  Electoral Commission.

Magogo has vowed to oust the incumbent Geoffrey Dhamuzungu from Parliament in 2021, such that he can represent the people of Budiope in Parliament.

Our Spies reveal that since the Electoral Commission announced a few days back that Uganda will hold scientific elections as a way of preventing the spread of Coronavirus through political gatherings, Magogo has since started doing online ‘Kakuyege’ such that he alerts voters about his candidature.

However, it is not yet clear whether he will resign his position as the  FUFA President or hold onto it as he wades into the murky waters of politics.
