E.C Chairperson Byabakama Finally Announces Presidential Elections Results

The Electoral Commission Chairperson, Justice Simon Mugenyi Byabakama,  has , today, Thursday 28th January, 2021, held a press briefing during which he officially announced the Final Results of the Presidential Elections 2021 and also address other issues under the Roadmap for 2021 General Elections.

A statement issued by Justice Byakama about the official tally results states in part thus;

“The Electoral Commission informs the general public that it has received and tallied the results of all the remaining polling stations across the country. Accordingly, the final summary of Presidential Elections Results is as follows:

Registered voters according to the E.C registers were: 18,103,603.

The Commission has further finalized ascertaining and compiling the results of Parliamentary Elections and  will publish the results in the Gazette in accordance with the law.

The Commission wishes to inform Ugandans that the results of 83 polling stations, with a total number of fifty four thousand three hundred and fifty seven (54,357) registered voters, were not included in the final tally due to various reasons that include the following; violence, ballot stuffing, people disappearing with ballot boxes among others.

The results from the presidential election are as follows;

Mao Nobert: 57,682 votes representing 0.56% of the valid votes cast.

Mayambala Willy: 15,014 votes representing 0.15%.

Mugisha Muntu Gregg: 67,574 votes representing 0.65%.

Mwesigye Fred: 25,483 votes representing 0.25% of the valid votes cast.

Tumukunde Henry Kakurugu: 51,392 votes representing 0.50% of the valid votes cast.bitly/bettingoffersug

Yoweri Museveni Tibuhaburwa Kaguta: 6,042,898 votes representing 58.38% of the valid votes cast.

Valid votes: 10,350,819.

Invalid votes: 393,500.

Total votes: 10,744,319.

Spoilt votes: 29,913.
