West Nile’s Calvary FC Earns Sporting Promotion to The StarTimes FUFA Big League.

Calvary Football Club from the West Nile region earned sporting promotion to the StarTimes FUFA Big League for the 2020-21 season. Kassim Talib and Jamil Asega scored in the 2nd and 76th minutes respectively for Calvary over Northern Gateway at the FUFA Technical Center, Njeru on Saturday, 31st October 2020 under closed doors. Talib’s goal was the fastest since the FUFA Promotional play-offs kicked off on 19th October 2020. Asega got the second with 14 minutes left on the clock, rounding goalkeeper Allan Otim to seal the victory. Calvary from Yumbe now qualifies to the StarTimes FUFA Big League to join the three earlier qualified clubs. Kitara Football Club Promoted to StarTimes Uganda Premier League.

Kitara Football Club got promoted to the StarTimes Uganda Premier League for the season 2020-21. This followed a well worked out 1-0 win against Kiboga Young during the final of the promotional play-offs played on Wednesday, 21st October 2020. Striker Brian Muluuli Mayanja was the hero with a great header on 55 minutes after being assisted by team captain Maxwel Owachagui. Mark Twinamatisko, head coach at Kitara saluted the character of his charges. ‘We played our hearts out and the players were all committed. I salute them in a special way’ Twinamatisko stated. Kitara now joins the two other promoted clubs; Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) and Malaba Youth Development Association (MYDA) who were promoted earlier.
