Police Recover Stolen UPF Gun From Thugs

A joint team of Uganda Police and Uganda Peoples
Defence Forces (UODF) in Arua on Tuesday recovered a Small Machine Gun (SMG)
rifle number UG POL 48002035 with 9 rounds of Ammunitions along Arua Vurra
custom Road, near the Customs with DR Congo, in Vurra Sub- county, Arua District.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the gun in
question was one of the 3 guns stolen from Lobule Prison in Koboko District
about a month ago.
The stolen police gun that was recovered with 9 rounds of ammunition
SP Angucia Josephine, the PRO West Nile/North West
Nile regions, revealed the two people who were carrying the gun were moving on
a motorcycle towards Vurra Custom side during curfew time.
