Police, Gov’t To Pay Bobi Wine For Cancelling ‘Kyarenga’ Concerts

By Elite Reporter The Uganda Police and government of Uganda are to pay People Power movement leader Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine, and his promoters Andrew Mukasa aka Bajjo Events and Abbey Musinguzi aka Abtex,  for the ‘Kyarenga’ concerts that were cancelled by police.  This comes after the High Court in Kampala ruled today, Thursday May 14, 2020, that the police’s actions of cancelling that Kyarenga concerts, which had been organized in several districts in the country were null and void. ACP Sarah Kibwika Appointed New PSU Boss In New Police Transfers

By Keefa Nuwahereza Inspector General of Police  (IGP) Martins Okoth Ochola on Wednesday April 15, 2020, appointed Assistant Commissioner of Police Sarah Kibwika, as the new Professional Standards Unit Commandant (PSU). The appointment came in a new wave of redeployment in the Uganda Police, which has seen several officers and men transferred by the IGP. ACP Sarah Kibwika now heads police's Professional Standards Unit “The changes in deployments take immediate effect,” said the message by the IGP Ochola, which was copied to all Police stations and officers in Uganda.
