The Speaker of Parliament Rt. Hon. Rebecca Alitwala Kadaga graced the wedding of Mbale District Police Commander (DPC) Fred Ahimbisibwe and his lovely baby mama Winnie Ahimbisibwe, who tied the knot on Saturday October 24, 2020.
The scientific wedding ceremony. which was held at All Saints Cathedral in Namirembe, was attended by a few close family members and police officers, in a bid to follow the Ministry of Health guidelines on preventing the spread of COVID-19.
Shortly after their wedding, wedding Speaker Kadaga, who was the Chief Guest at the function, wrote thus on Facebook;
“I have witnessed the wedding of Fred Ahimbisibwe (DPC, Mbale) and Winnie at All Saints Cathedral where I usually go for my prayers.
Ahimbisibwe is the Police Officer who drove late in the night to save an expectant mother from Nabanyole parish in Wanale sub-county. She gave birth to a baby boy at Mbale Regional Hospital.
I also thank Ahimbisibwe for the security he offers me when am in Mbale.
On the same occasion, I was privileged to share a moment with Justice Bamugemerire, Justice Susan Okalany and the DPP, Jane Francis Abodo.”
