President Yoweri Museveni and Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II have today 3rd – August – 2021 in the morning held a confidential meeting at State Lodge, Nakasero.
The Kabaka was in the company of Prince David Wasajja and Buganda’s Premier Charles Peter Mayiga.
The details on agenda of the secret meeting the two leaders are yet to be known, however speculators suspect that the main agenda was the controversial Mailo land system that has caused a heated debate all over Buganda region.
“I have held a meeting with His Majesty the Kabaka of Buganda Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II at Nakasero State Lodge. His Majesty was in the company of Owek. Charles Peter Mayiga and Prince David Wasajja. We discussed matters of mutual interest,” Museveni tweeted.
On Saturday, the Kabaka Mutebi kinly cautioned the n what seemed like a response to Museveni’s comments, said Buganda’s spirit of welcoming people from all walks of life is being interpreted as weakness.
While celebrating the Heroes this in June, President Museveni ill talked against the Mailo land system that he termed as a bad land policy .
