Gov’t MDAs To Present NRM MANIFESTO 2021-26 Implementation Progress

Government Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) will this Friday report on the progress of government projects being implemented under their respective dockets.
The exercise will be conducted under the auspices of the Manifesto Implementation Unit (MIU) of the Office of the President.
According to MIU Director Willis Bashaasha, the presentations will take place at the Office of the President Conference Hall from 8:00am to 4:00pm, with each MDA taking stock of what they have achieved so far in implementation of the NRM manifesto.
“This is a semi-annual evaluation workshop in which we intend to analyse the manifesto implementation so far. The key action points will include analysis of the budget performance on service delivery from 2021 to date as well as evaluating the expectations on the side of the implementers with a view to attain consistency in monitoring implementation activities and outcomes,” Bashaasha said.
He added that because the current manifesto is anchored on the National Development Plan (NDP) III, there will also be a mid-term review of the NDP III and its implications on the manifesto.
The semi-annual review will precede the manifesto week which will happen at the end of the year. The presentations will be conducted by the manifesto focal persons who are attached to the various MDAs with the sole aim of overseeing the implementation activities to ensure fulfilment of the overall manifesto objectives.
