The Police in Kibaale district have arrested a 46- year old man for allegedly defiling a 4-year-girl, daughter to his wife Madalena Katusiime in Kyamaryante-Birongo village, Matale Sub County in Kibaale district.
The suspect has been identified as Silver Tulyamureba alias Kyooma of Birongo in Matale Sub County who allegedly defiled his step daughter after learning that his wife had gone to attend to her garden.
Madalena says that she became suspicious that something was wrong with her daughter when she saw her crying, only to discover blood discharge from the toddler’s private parts.
Edward Tibeyugwa, the Birongo village vice chairperson, notes that Turyamuleba’s act has shocked the area residents.
Enock Kareba, the district CID officer confirmed the suspect’s arrest stressing that he is being detained at Kibaale Central Police station as investigations go on.
Kareba condemned acts of incest and defilement among other crimes promising that Police will always ensure that the perpetrators are arrested and prosecuted.
