 Six masterminds of Kampala-Mityana highway robberies were arrested by the police

The Police Flying Squad Unit has arrested six suspected masterminds of highway robberies along Kampala-Mityana road. Charles Twine, the Spokesperson of the Criminal Investigations Directorate-CID has identified the suspects as Ibrahim Ssemuwemba, a resident of Busega Rubaga division in Kampala, Ignatius Lwassampijja, a resident of Gombe village in Mityana, and Hakim David, the chairperson Mirembe Kaweesa village in Kasanda district. The others are Emmanuel Ddamulira, a resident of Wabigalo in Mityana, Emmanuel Kimbowa Ssegayi, a mechanic in Nazigo and Ronald Kayiira, a resident resident of Mirembe-Kawesa in Kasanda district. [Kampala Uganda, 13 April, 2022] - Huawei launched its LEAP digital skills development programme on 9th April 2022. Announced at its ICT Competition Awards Ceremony, LEAP aims to help advance the ICT skills of more than 100 000 people across the Sub-Saharan Africa region within three years. LEAP which is an acronym for Leadership, Employability, Advancement and Possibility, is aimed at fostering strong digital leadership and a skilled ICT workforce, building a digital talent pool, and promoting digital literacy among citizens.
