WHY YOU SHOULD NEVER FEED A YOUNG SNAKE FROM YOUR OWN BASKET BECAUSE WHEN IT GROWS, IT SURELY BITES YOU.details follows.

AN OPEN LETTER TO THE SPEAKER EMERITUS, RT HON. REBECCA KADAGA FROM THE GREAT MOUNTAINS OF THE MOON.

Greetings from the great mountains of Rwenzori.

I know this letter is not going to find you in good and sober moods, but please amidst whatever you are going through find some energy to not only read it but also contemplate about it.

Our great ancestors left for us the following words of wisdom “Isiwakuliraya enzoka yomo kyibo”

Loosely translated as, never feed a young snake from your own basket because when it grows, it surely bites you.

On Sunday, your NRM party decided to throw you into the political dustbins of Uganda when they support Hon. Jacob Oulanyah for the position of speaker of the 11th parliament.

Your crime was that the NRM “god” lost in Busoga in the January 14 elections and in your case for Kamuli District Woman MP, it was a landslide. You now know that in NRM, they celebrate the birth of a child but never mention the name of the man and woman whose sweat one night led to its conception. Here, I mean they have punishment you for giving birth to a child with rickets (loss in Busoga) but they don’t remember how it all started with your driving the age limit removal as you will read later on in this letter.

It was of course brave of you to defy the decision of the NRM ‘god’ by showing up as an independent though of course it ended in tears on your side.

In 2017, you remember very well how you closed all your veins of motherhood and released the merciless SFC soldiers to kick every Member of Parliament who had tried to stand in the way for Museveni’s life presidency by removing the age limit cap from the Constitution.

*”Sergeant at arms, come and first throw them out of the house, am coming”* You arrogantly said.

You didn’t have the smallest aorta of Mercy for the people you spend most of your time with at parliament just because you wanted to appease your NRM ‘god’.

Your colleagues were beaten like snakes and as a result, some of them have not regained their fitness and can’t walk properly, over three years later.

*”If it was not because of me, Museveni would be in Rwakitura by now”* you arrogantly boasted on TV.

*” Yes I did it, I did it, now what?”*

You went ahead and emphasised your arrogant point when asked about allowing soldiers to beat up MPs, forcing them to cry like children who have just been forced out of breastfeeding.

The same Museveni you arrogantly helped to retain power at the expense of your fellow legislators, mercilessly threw you in the dustbins yesterday.

*”I made a few calls to NRM MPS and now you see the results”* Gen Tibuhaburwa boasted after he superintended over your downfall as you were crying tears. His words signalled a bad end to your great and celebrated career.

Now I don’t know what you’re planning next.

Whether to sit back as a backbencher legislator or to go back and kneel to your NRM ‘god’ for the Vice President position which you openly rejected or to wait for some miracle to happen but this should teach you a lesson from today onwards never to serve individual selfish interests at the expanse of friends.

It’s even a pity that most of the MPS who you ordered soldiers to beat are the ones who stood with you at a time when your party had forsaken you.

A snake remains a snake, never keep it for a pet.

The dream team however wishes you all the best in your next course of action and may the good Lord lead you through these tough times.
