Kagame Reinstates Loyalist Gatabazi, Appoints Kayitesi To Govern Southern Province

Rwandan
President Paul Kagame has reinstated his
blue-eyed boy Jean Marie Vianney Gatabazi as the Governor Northern Province, and
appointed iron-lady Alice Kayitesi as the Governor Southern Province.
The
appointments were communicated in a
Communique by the Office of the Prime Minister, issued July 7th,2020,
which reads in part thus;

“Pursuant
to the Law n14/2013 of 25/03/2013 determining the organisation and functioning of
the Province especially in its article 9;
His Excellency the President has reinstated Mr. Jean Marie Vianney Gatabazi as Governor of Northern Province; and appointed Ms. Alice Kayitesi as Governor of the Southern Province.
