Suspected terrorists arrested in kamwenge attempting to put church on fire.

Central Police Station Kamwenge in Rwenzori West Policing Region is currently detaining two men on charges of terrorism.
One suspect, Sadad Bwambale, 27 and resident of Kamaiba Cell in Central Division of Kasese Municipality, was arrested for allegedly attempting to set Nabi’s Church in Biguli Cell, Biguli Ward of Biguli Town Council in Kamwenge District on fire. The other suspect, who remains unidentified, is still on the run.
On Saturday at around 2:00 pm, the two suspects rode a motorcycle number UFE 568/A Bajaj boxer to the church premises while in possession of petrol in a green bag and a polythene paper. According to an eyewitness, Nabi Abitwongyire, 27, they tried to set the church and three motorcycles belonging to the believers on fire.
The motorcycles had the registration numbers UEC 288D, UDT 809U, and UDL 356B. However, their plan was thwarted by the efforts of the believers and the security guard, who pursued them towards the Kyegegwa borderline and managed to arrest Sadad Bwambale. The other suspect managed to escape.
After reporting to the Biguli Police Station, the police swiftly responded to recorded statements, recovered the exhibits, and rescued the situation. Preliminary findings indicate that the believers sleep in an incomplete building without shutters, which made it easier for the suspects to carry out their mission.
