Lugazi Fc Pitch Nears Completion.

With less than two weeks to the 2022/23 Star Times FUFA Big League kickoff, Buganda region side Lugazi FC has intensified its preparations with the construction of their home ground set to be done before kickoff. The second tier is set to start on the 16th of this month with 15 clubs.
After earning promotion to the Star Times FUFA Big league, Lugazi FC embarked on the construction of their home ground which is expected to be done before the 2022/23 season kickoff.
Lugazi FC’s 1000-seater stadium under construction in Dangala-Najjembe, Lugazi Municipality will have offices, pitch and beach soccer facility.
Kawuulu who revealed that the club has so far spent over Shs100m in season preparations, says that the construction has been delayed by shortage of finances.
Lugazi Municipality Member of Parliament Sserubula Stephen has hailed the side for the facility development before he asked local authorities to give a hand to the club.
“The only challenge I have seen here is the poor road network and it has to access the pitch, but am to work with Lugazi municipality administration to work upon this road” Serubula said.
Lugazi qualified to the second tier of Ugandan football after beating Kajjansi United 1-0 in the Buganda region league final in June at the Kavumba recreational grounds.
The 2022/23 Star Times FUFA Big league is expected to kick off on the 16th of this month with 15.
