Buganda Kingdom contributes ugx 114 million to Kyabazinga’s royal wedding.

The Buganda Kingdom has pledged sh114 million towards the upcoming royal wedding of Kyabazinga William Gabula Nadiope and Inhebantu (Queen) Jovia Mutesi. This momentous occasion is scheduled to take place at Christ’s Cathedral Bugembe in Jinja city on November 18 of this year.
The symbolic presentation of the contribution took place at Bulange Mengo, where Buganda Katikkiro Charles Peter Mayiga handed over a dummy cheque representing the substantial financial aid to Busoga Kingdom Katukiro (prime minister) Dr. Joseph Muwawala.
The wedding ceremony will be officiated by the Archbishop of the Church of Uganda, Dr. Stephen Kaziimba Mugalu, with the distinguished presence of President Yoweri Museveni as the chief guest. This event not only marks a significant union but also a display of unity between the two kingdoms.
In the lead-up to the royal wedding, the organizing committee has organized various activities, including tree planting, health camps, and a city-wide cleaning effort in Jinja and its major towns. These initiatives are aimed at making the celebration not only memorable but also contributing positively to the community.
Last month, Kyabazinga Gabula was introduced to the parents of Inhebantu Jovia Mutesi in Mayuge district, culminating in a traditional wedding ceremony that paved the way for the forthcoming royal union. The support from Buganda Kingdom adds to the anticipation and excitement surrounding this significant event in the region.
