Members of Parliament who are set to represent Uganda at the East African Games in Rwanda will receive $720 (approximately Shs2.7 million) per day, as announced by the Speaker of Parliament, Anita Among. However, Among warned them against shaming their country by staying in cheap hotels, emphasizing that the $720 per diem should be sufficient for them to secure decent accommodations rather than opting for hotels priced at US$20 (about Shs75,533). “I want to encourage MPs that as you go there, represent Uganda well in terms of discipline.
