We Are Sorry, But It Was Part Of Co-curricular Activities.

Lubiri High School has finally owned up, saying the students who were filmed dancing in the Midland High School bus are their students.

This was revealed in a letter dated June 12, the management of Lubiri High said the students seen on the bus belong to them and shall be subjected to disciplinary action.

“The students on board belong to our school. They had gone for an Agricultural Show to Jinja,” Management.

The school said that this is a co-curriculum activity that is allowed and provided for at the school.

“As Lubiri High School we take a stand on the actions taken in the video to be just a mere dance of which is part of the school’s co-curricular activities, ” said the school.

The management of the school apologized to Midland High School for any inconveniences caused in view of the latter having hired out the bus to Lubiri High only for controversy to arise.

The school management noted that this is a co curriculum activity that is allowed and provided at the school.

“As Lubiri High School we take a stand on the actions taken in the video to be just a mere dance of which is part of the school’s co-curricular activities.

The management was, however, quick to apologise to Midland High School where they hired the bus and the public for what has been seen by many as a “misconduct.”

Earlier on, Lubiri High had strongly distanced from the same students and had denied any involvement.

The same management had said that their school is built on imparting discipline and cultural norms to the young generation and that they cannot be party to such behaviour.

The video caused a stampede, with different social media users calling for some form of an internal review in the school, as regards discipline and rules enforcement.
