University Wins £500k Grant to help Combat COVID-19 in Uganda

The University of Salford’s School of Science, Engineering & Environment has been awarded more than £500,000 to address the threat of COVID-19 in Uganda. The project is funded by UK Research and Innovation through the UK Government’s Global Challenges Research Fund (GCRF) and the Newton Fund. This funding is one of the 20 projects that have been announced by the UKRI aimed at developing solutions to mitigate the impact of COVID-19 for some of the world’s most disadvantaged people.
