Uganda’s COVID-19 Cases Rise To 253 After 31Truck Drivers Test Positive

The Ministry of Health has announced that the number of Coronavirus (COVID-19)
infections in Uganda has risen to 253
after 31 truck drivers tested positive on Tuesday.
Announcing the results of yesterday’s COVID-19 tests, officials
from the Ministry tweeted thus; “Today, 26 May, 2020, 31 new COVID-19 cases
confirmed. The total confirmed cases are now 253.
23 new cases are from the Points of Entry while 8 new
cases are contacts to previously confirmed truck drivers.”
They added that; “The contacts were under quarantine
at the time of test. 20 positive foreign truck drivers (16 Tanzanians and 4
Kenyans) were handed over to their country of origin. Total COVID-19 Recoveries:
