The District Police Commander Kikobye Lillian has warned the Local Council chairpersons who make decisions without consulting their committee members and other stakeholders.
Kikobye said that any chairperson found to abuse their roles risks being arrested.
She said acts have fueled domestic Violence, Corruption, Child Labor and land wrangles in the district.
The DPC further advised residents to keep working hard instead of restorting to witch doctors for wealth and blessings.
In the same meeting, Mwebuze Mataayo the Buzenga parish Chairperson, the organizer asked all village chairpersons to always register all new residents in their respective areas stressing that this can help in curbing crimes in the society. The meeting was attended by all local leaders, Business Community, Boda – Boda riders, youths leaders, bar owners among others.
