Prioritize welfare of rural population.

Kenyan President, Mr William Ruto has urged his fellow African leaders to prioritise the welfare of their citizens, especially those living in rural areas as they are the most affected by climate change.
Ruto says people living in rural areas without real development especially the physically disabled are the most affected by climate change and their plight needs to be prioritized.
Speaking this morning on the third and final day of the Africa Climate Summit in Nairobi, Ruto also urged leaders to prioritize the youth in all their efforts to address climate crises.
Ruto is later expected to launch the Nairobi Declaration which will contain resolutions from the 3-day inaugural Africa Climate Summit.
The conference is expected to consolidate Africa’s voices ahead of COP28.
