Once Again Primary Pupils begin radio lessons today Kampala

AGAIN On June 6, President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni ordered the closure of all schools and higher institutions of learning for 42 days starting June 7, 2021 to control the spread of the virus. As a result, the Ministry of Education has announced the airing of lessons on various radio stations across the country as one of the means to cater for continuity of learning. According to Mr. Alex Kakooza, the Permanent Secretary to the Ministry, they will start with pupils of Primary Four and Five today, Monday, June 14 as the timetables for the rest of the learners are yet to be formulated. Mr. Kakooza then said “Parents and guardians are therefore requested to support learners with radio sets and to also allow them time to tune in to the various radio stations in order to attend the lessons.” According to the schedule, learners will be taken through Social Studies (SST), Mathematics, Science and Islamic Religious Education (IRE)
