Kasese school ADF attack: Death toll rises to 44.

The death toll following a terrorist attack on Lhubirihwa Secondary School has risen to 44.
This, after the death of Mbambu Felistus, a 50-year-old, female adult, who succumbed to the inflicted injuries from the terror attack, from Bwera Hospital, and the additional recovery of a decomposing body, of a female victim, recovered in the DRC, by UPDF soldiers, who continue to pursue the ADF rebels.
“The recovered body of the victim was transferred to the mortuary, at Muhoti Military Hospital, for further DNA profiling and comparison,” Police Spokesperson Fred Enanga told the media last night.
Enanga reiterated that there is no justification for terrorism, more so on innocent school children and other civilians.
“The targeting of innocent civilians is reprehensible and cowardly. As a country, we do continue to acknowledge an outpouring of messages of condolence from several leaders across the globe. We thank them all, for expressing their solidarity with us, against all forms of terror and sharing their grief with us.”
As the Joint Security Agencies, Enanga added: we remain steadfast and reaffirm our commitment to countering terrorism and violent extremism against our citizens.
