Joy as 518 medics graduate at St. Francis School of Health Science Namataba.

Bishop emeritus of Lugazi Diocese Rt. Rev. Dr. Mathias Ssekamanya, has implored graduates of St. Francis school of health science Namataba in Mukono district, to become more resilient and honest in treating people in the various hospitals where they will work after receiving sufficient medical education.
Sekamanya was officiating the 8th, graduation ceremony of 518 students at St. Francis School of Health Sciences at Namataba, where students received certificates and diplomas in different disciplines.
During the graduation ceremony on Wednesday, Sekamanya also emphasized the importance of graduates pursuing further studies in specialized fields and also to uphold high standards in their medical practices.
The school board chairman John Paul Kidde urged the students not to prioritize financial benefits when treating patients in the hospitals, but to first provide the necessary medical attention to the patients.
The special guest at the event was Rev. Fr. Prof. John Chrisostom Maviiri urged the students to involve the Lord in their medical practices, especially in the field of medical treatment, encouraging graduates to work hard to reach places where people badly need their medical services.
At the ceremony, graduates expressed joy after completing their courses and vowed to ethically provide medical attention to the patients
At the event Ssekamanya also inaugurated a new building at the institute named before him – Bishop Matthias Ssekamanya Complex, to commemorate his good work for the institute and the entire Lugazi Diocese
