IGG Closes Karamoja Iron Sheets Case.

State Minister of Finance general duties, Henry Musasizi has revealed that the office of the Inspector General of Government – IGG has closed the case in which he was among the Top Government Officials accused of misappropriating the Karamoja Iron Sheets.
Minister Musasizi who doubles as the Rubanda East Legislator and NRM Chairperson Rubanda District explained this during a fundraising ceremony at St. Agatha Girl’s School Kakore, in Hamurwa Sub county Rubanda District.
He was explaining that he had lobbied for up to 80 foot and net balls from the Ministry of Education and sports for Schools in Rubanda District, but this time around he would distribute the balls through the District Local Government.
According to Musasizi, distributing the balls through the District structures, was President Museveni’s directive as he advised Ministers on how to avoid getting involved in corruption scandals that damage their own reputation as well as the NRM Government’s image.
“You know last time I brought iron sheets for you, but some people raised dust, so President Museveni has advised us to always let the District authorities handle distribution of items we lobby from the Government institutions. Therefore, the balls will be given to the District Authorities for distribution,” He said.
Meanwhile, Musasizi thanked the Kakore Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Herbert Agaba for patiently answering all the questions of the Investigating officers about the 200 iron sheets received from the Office of the Prime Minister. Kakore Church leaders had reportedly requested for the iron sheets to roof schools under church foundation, before Musasizi brought the OPM Branded pieces to the Church Priest.
“I would like to extend my sincere thanks to you, Fr. Agaba for enduring the investigation process in which you were made to answer numerous questions. That is how Government works, and I’m glad to inform you that the office of the IGG has now closed the case because they found my hands clean,” Musasizi said amidst cheers from the crowd.
